Chapter One

I woke up to find my self alive I thought that I was dead but obviously I was very much alive. I had just jumped off a truck and onto the road behind it while it was moving. I don't think that changing my hair color was such a good idea after all. I Used to be blonde now my hairs dark red brown I think it looks good on me though. Considering my group used to be dumb blondes this is better trust me, my new group are the brave redheads, it has a good ring to it doesn't it.

I looked around myself no one had followed me, I was all alone no one around me at all.  But that does make sense anyways so I guess that's what I deserve for being brave. I got up and started running as fast as I could I didn't want to be late for dinner or I would be noticed by the wise white hairs that would be the biggest mistake of my life and all because of a dumb dare.

I could see a vehicle coming for me so I slowed down to a stop and watched as Joseph came with his truck. I looked him down and up he wasn’t wearing his usual. He stilled had his brunette colored hair which meant that he should still be with the other fashionistas. He came to a stop by me.

“Hey you need a lift Bree.” He asked with a bit of a laugh.

“Yes that would be nice and maybe we can talk about that style of yours Joseph.” I giggled. So I got in and Joseph didn’t say a word, me and him were best friends when I dyed my hair to a kind of brunette color. I tried my  best to be a fashionista like him and he had tried to help me but that didn’t seem to have worked. I had said my goodbyes to him and some others and left.

“Well I kind of hate being a fashionista and was hoping I would find you and maybe try and escape this horrible island.” Joseph explained.

“Oh so you do believe that we live on an island. I was kind of hoping to do the same thing but we may need more people to come with us you know this isn’t a two person job.” I replied.

He looked at me as if he was thinking the same thing and we headed to the pods where the people who couldn’t act their own hair colors go. I of course never wanted to resort to such a thing so I just dyed my hair. I didn’t want to have to learn how to be a dumb blonde, it would probably be trying to take the information out of your head or ignore you smart side of the brain and that was just impossible to do.

I watched closely as we got closer the pods were waiting to be used and I watched as a few people got in and shot down into the ground towards the place of learning. I got into the pod with Joseph. The pod went crashing down into the ground farther and farther down. When it finally stopped I got out with Joseph right behind me. I walked over to the front desk where a woman with grey hair was talking to the people that were ahead of us. When they headed towards the doors they opened and I could tell by how many people were in there that there was something going on.

Joseph started talking to the woman and walked in. I looked at the woman her name was Natalie I knew her pretty well I gave her a little nod and she nodded back. I then hid underneath the desk listening intently. I waited there for a few more seconds and heard them coming down.

“They all in there Natalie?” The guard asked quietly.

“Yes of course they are so you better move on in quickly,” Natalie exclaimed confidently.

There were about twelve different guards and two of them stayed outside of the room. I quietly moved out of my spot as carefully as possible hoping they would notice me. They did they ran for me and I ran to the pod but they caught me. My plan had just begun. They carried me into the room which was now a prison with a whole bunch of cells.

They brought me into one with two other girls. I knew them both one of them had dirty blonde hair with dark blue eyes and a kind look in her eyes. Which meant that she should be out pranking everyone with the rest of the dirty blondes, her name was Carly she could make anyone feel welcome just by looking up into those eyes of hers.

The second one was a brunette she had dark green eyes and should be busy sewing up new stylish outfits like the others. But looking at her made anyone who was smart enough (So not the blondes) to know that she was in no mood to be a fashionista. Her name was Katie.

I silently observed the guards knowing they were planning to let no one escape. When one of the guards wasn’t looking I reached down and grabbed my pocket knife out from my black boots ready to scare a guard into giving us the keys.
